Reason I'm Going to Hell #244

So since I work two jobs, neither of which have a set schedule, it's really stressful every week when schedules come out and I have to call different people and switch shifts and work things out. I'm kinda a pain in the ass. But I've somehow managed to make it work all summer long, and luckily I only have 2 more weeks of the two job thing.

Anyway, last week I tried to resolve an issue where I was scheduled at both jobs, but it ended up not working out. Unfortunately, I forgot about this, went to vegas with Mike and had 2 days off after working 60 days straight, had some fun, and then drove back to my unresolved life. The scheduling dilemma did not solve itself, and now I was headed to work when I needed to be at my other job in a few hours, too. So I had to come up with a solution.

Naturally, I decide to tell my managers at the Wild Animal Park that my sister started seizing and was rushed to the hospital and that her husband needed to go take care of things and I needed to help out with the newborn baby.

Everyone was super concerned, and not only did they let me go home early, they even called someone to come in earlier so I could leave right away. I felt pretty bad about it, but hey, it solved my problem.

Then it gets worse. For some reason, I thought today was Tuesday, when really its Monday. I wasn't scheduled to work til 11:30am on Tuesday, so I got up, started some laundry, sat down to make a grocery and to-do list, when I logged onto my google calendar. And that's when I noticed that today is Monday, and I should have been at work at 8:15. Fuck. So I'm like 2 hours late at this point, and they really take these things seriously. I'm totally getting written up. And I'm in the process of applying for a different position, so this is going to look terrible. So I call frantically, and they're like, "no meghan we totally understand, we know you must be so stressed out with your sister, dont worry just get here when you can". And all day long everyone has just been super, super nice, and asking about my sister, and I got a lot of (awkward) hugs.

In other news, Mike and I saw hookers on the corner in Vegas. Real live ones.

I'm sorry if that wasn't really a good story. I would write about the Vegas trip, but you all know what happens in vegas stays in vegas, right?
