I predict engagements. I have a sixth sense for these things.
With this information, you can go three ways:
1) If there are any couples you want to get engaged, let me know and I'll start thinking about it, and then it'll happen.
2) When you get engaged, do not freak out if I text you about it before even half of your family members know.
3) When you get engaged, make sure I'm one of the first friends to know... so the above does not occur. B/c I've heard it can be scary to receive a text message joking about an engagement when it did in fact already occur the previous day and half of your family members don't even know about it yet.

Furthermore, while I'm excited for upcoming weddings and such (YAY!!! For love, friends, and college reunions!!!)... I'm not ready for ALL of my friends to get married... (although some of you should b/c I just love ya'll together) ... for the rest of ya, slow down, will ya. Thanks. :)

Does it work if you are the person who wants to get engaged? Like when I need the guy to take the plunge, can you make it happen? What about couples I don't want to get engaged? Can you prevent them? How are you with babies? I have a pretty good track record with babies. Maybe we should start a business? An engagement/baby business? We'll make millions!

ReplyDeleteAnd I don't think it works if you tell me you want to get hitched and I mentally tell the guy to propose. But maybe my talent will develop within the next 5 or so yrs!
