More 2 bar nights....

After reading P's "second best bar story, ever", Sarah and I felt the need to post this article we wrote for our Badin Girls in December of 2008. We can all reminisce, and look and how much we have grown up (and gotten lame). I guess these are 2 stories for us too (on a scale from 1 to 3)
P, let's all remember that this recounts only the stories from 1 bar during 1 semester:
The Backer Feels like Home

Whenever we say we love the Backer, we get weird looks. "I Hate the Backer", people tell us. But you know who says that? Only people who haven't been to the Backer with us. No, seriously. Go to the Backer with Sarah and Meghan, and you'll go for life. So, let's go ahead and recount all 5 outstanding Backer nights thus far, as we end the semester with no more Backer 'til '09.

Sarah and I both wrote this. Some is in 1st person and some in third person. Try to figure it out yourself.

That time that was the first time at the Backer together

Nothing really epic happened at this one. But as the inaugural Sarah-Meghan Backer night, it cannot be overlooked. It was the first weekend back at school, as seniors, everyone came, we danced all night.. Sarah and $%&@# danced (a little bit of grinding) while Mike and Meghan looked on. Stared, actually. Then Sarah decided to leave before Meg and Mike since they were trashed and giving no space or filters. Sarah and (*#&$@ walked back and they held hands the whole walk back! Later, Sarah found out that *#$*@ had.... That night, Meg texted Sarah, which later appeared in TFLN, (the real one, not the notre dame one).

That time we danced with gay guys
This night was so much fun, but we'll never do it again. Kristen, Katie Whalen, and some other old RAs were in town, so we decided to go the Backer. In the rain. On a football weekend. So, we stood in line for like 20 minutes before we got in, only to be sent outside under the tent, in which we had to stand in another line for another half hour, waiting to actually get inside the Backer.

So, Meghan may or may not have almost finished a strangers drink. Okay, she didn't, but only because everyone screamed at her not to. But he had to throw it away, and what a waste.

By the time we got inside, we were soaking wet. Which is really great when you're pushed into a room of sweaty wet people. Our hair was SO gross… a mixture of sweat, rain water, and cigarette smoke. But that didn't stop a group of attractive guys from dancing with us…

… so maybe they were gay. Like flaming gay. That just means they're better dancers. We first starting dancing with them as a dare but then it was so much fun! Some of our killer dance moves included but was not limited to: Spice Girls: If you wanna be my lover WITHOUT touching, passing around a salt shaker, and singing Sex Bomb, Sex Bomb, your my Sex Bomb (Tom Jones Song?) with motions: on Sex you grab your junk and we pretended we had junk and then on Bomb we threw our hands into the air. That night Elizabeth came too and experienced the fun!

That time we came home with 1.5 kisses

Recap: Meghan made out with a bearded stranger all night (including some grinding:ass to crotch style and around the shoulder making out-the judges gave her a 10 for technique and a 9 for execution) and Sarah tried to kiss, missed, and didn't repair. We also walk home with someone who tells us he tried to get with some girl like five times and she kept rejecting him.

That time we went home with strangers

Before we went home with strangers...we got asked to dance a slow song like you do in middle school by two grad students....Sarahs grad student Doug was pretty cute. After a while we got bored and reverted back to our gay guy ways, except these three were men...like at least late 20s, early 30s but always a good time.

Ok back to going home with strangers:

Sarah is eyeing this cute short buff guy all night, B, and is sad because they haven't talked. She goes and says hi, they talk for a bit, and then get separated. Sarah kinda wanted to kiss him, but the circumstances just weren't right.

So, the Backer closes, and we go to leave. We start walking back to campus, just Sarah and I, and a car slows down next to us. We freak out a little but we know we're strong and can probably take them. The guys in the car start yelling, and we ignore. Then one says, "Sarah you want a ride?" and she replies with, "Well it depends who you are." Then we realize that it's the guy from the bar that Sarah has a crush on. They offer us a ride. We accept. They ask us if we want to go to Taco Bell with them. Sarah, instead of just going with the flow, announces that she HATES Taco Bell. She totally offends the guys but apparently B is a self-proclaimed health-nut and agrees. So we get to Main Circle, and B's friend gets out to pee in the bushes. We stand there talking awkwardly. Then they invite us to play beer pong in their house. We accept. Sarah texts me, "Thank you so much I love you". However, they tell us that they may not drive us home until tomorrow. We say okay.
We go into the house, and they start cooking a pizza. In the meantime, we play 1 game of beer pong, Sarah & B vs. Meghan & Friend. When the game is over, we sit down. On separate couches. I go for the big armchair, Friend sits on a couch, Sarah sits on a different couch, and B sits on another armchair.

Sarah keeps saying, "I think I'm gonna pass out" (cause i really thought I would and I've passed out before when I dont mean to and lets just say im no Sleeping Beauty)

We all talk, awkwardly, until the pizza is finished cooking.

We eat pizza.
They drive us home.

SO AWKWARD.

That time we came with a cowboy and army man

After the toy story dance, we decide to go to the Backer (Sarah, Meghan, McFadden, Colin). Actually we decided to go to Legends but it was closed so we kept walking. Sarah and I had changed in Badin, but the boys didn't have that option. However, it never occurred to us how ridiculous we would look, walking into a bar, because
a) McFadden was a decked-out cowboy, with boots, jeans, sparkling belt buckle, cowboy hat with flowers on it, flannel shirt, and vest.

b) Colin looked like he just got back from the battle field, in complete army grub. (apparently they dont have breathe mints in the army, either)
As we walk in, you see everyone around kinda hitting each other and pointing at McFadden. That's when I first noticed that maybe we should have toned down his costume, because not everyone knows that he was just at a Toy Story themed dance, the way I did. But what are you going to do? Just have another beer.

All night, people are coming up to McFadden, taking his hat and talking to him. Some of them he knows, others he doesn't.

Memorable moments:
-McFadden announces to Sarah that everyone on the track team hates Colin.
-Sarah and Colin keep making out in front of Meg/McFadden.
-McFadden points out his friend who has "the jungle fever" and apparently always dances with black girls

-McFadden pretends to be a cowboy the entire night, dance moves and everything.

-We all took turns dancing near the pole but of course not touching it cause we didnt want any more STDS...i mean any STDS, but Colin just didn't get the memo and he touches the pole so Sarah made him go wash his hands and wouldn't talk to him until he did.

-At one point, Sarah's hair got stuck in some guys shirt (lots of hairspray) and so she ended up talking to that guy for like five minutes and then Colin comes over and starts making out with her, bad breath and all, and says, were you trying to make me jealous?
